TEACHING METHODOLOGY
- No Education is complete without undergoing an unambiguous evaluation system that would take a student long way in assessing his process of learning and the efficiency with which the totality of learning has taken place.
- We at New Horizon are pragmatic in this understanding and hence do not limit our students potentials of just reading the syllabus and answering the questions asked in the examinations and passing it with some marks that they obtain after the subject teacher’s evaluation.
- Our concept of learning and teaching is a continuous one that focuses on preparing students to be industry ready along with providing quality and value based education.
- To prepare students and enable them to perform better in the Pre university Examination, our students are offered to appear mandatorily in the Internal Test/ Examination in the standards of the Pre University Examination.
- Students of the first year Pre-University Course will have to take a District-level Promotional Examination conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education at the end of the academic year. Students who secure the minimum passing marks in the individual subjects as well as the minimum aggregate as prescribed by the Pre-University Educational Department are promoted to the second year of the Pre-University Course
- Students of the second year Pre-University Course will have to take the state level Public Examinations (Theory & Practical for Science streams) held at the end of the course, conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education.
- Students opting French as their second language papers will have a theory (80 marks) and VIVA – VOCE (20 marks) during their first and second year PU Course. VIVA-VOCECE is compulsory. If a student does not take up VIVA-VOCE he/she will be considered as FAIL in the Pre – University exam.
