The Department of Sanskrit, New Horizon PU College celebrated the GITA JAYANTI on 26th. November 2020. Gita Jayanti is celebrated all over India on the 11th day of Margashira Masa- the day when Arjun received the holy preaching from Lord Krishna.

To commemorate the day, a virtual session through cisco webex was organized for the students where they were told about the significance of the Bhagwata Gita. A competition was also held where the students were asked to chant the shlokas from the Bhagwata Gita. It was a fun filled session where the students showcased their oratory skills.

The following students were declared winners:
1st place– Darshan Kumar- II PUC CET 1
2nd place– Shree Nitya- I PUC CSBM
