72nd Independence Day programme at the college quadrangle on the 15th August 2018.
A host of patriotic students, devoted teaching and non teaching fraternity along with the Director , Principal of PUC and Principal of Degree came together to celebrate the 72nd Independence Day programme at the college quadrangle on the 15th August 2018.
The Indian Tricolour was hoisted by the Director Ms. Keerthi Manghnani coupled by the Principals at 8.30 AM. As the tricolor flew high symbolizing strength, valor, courage, peace and truth, the minds of all present deepened into the immeasurable value of the gift we possess, a free and independent India.
The jingoistic group song was followed by the Principal’s address by Dr. Vijaya Reddy who spoke about the supreme sacrifices, the courage, sincerity and perseverance with which the struggle for liberating our motherland was achieved with respect and realization of the freedom we experience. She also inspired the students to come together and create a place to live with a mind devoid of fear and experience the precious gift of freedom, an independent India.
The students also expressed their fervor for the country in the Kannada and Hindi speeches. The speech in English gave us a glimpse of the progress this great nation has made emitting a positive ray of hope, making these diversities unite for a wonderful transformation.
The pulsating dance performance escalated the commemorative mood further and this was followed by awarding students for their academic excellence in Pre University examinations.
The overall topper award for degree students were also honored with mementoes. Though the programme ended with the vote of thanks, there was no end to the patriotic zeal that was soaring high in everyone’s hearts.
